Joda: Locals have accused a private mining firm of neglecting its peripheral area and not doing enough for job creation at Jurudi under Joda mining circle in Keonjhar.
Hundreds of locals gathered at the gate of the mining firm and stopped mineral transportation to it Thursday.
It was learnt that the company has awarded a contract of its mineral transportation to a company of Kalimati while locals had been demanding work in mineral transportation.
Many people’s representatives held talks with officials of the mining company. Keeping in view law and order, a section of police were deployed in the area.
