Sundaragada: A 14-year-old girl was gangraped while attending a marriage function Saturday under Talsara police limits in this district, as police arrested three persons and detained three minors, police officials said Sunday.
The juvenile accused have been sent to a correction home and the adults sent to judicial custody, police said.
According to police, the girl, a native of Chhattisgarh, was on a visit to her uncle’s house in Talsara area.
She attended a wedding at a neighbour’s house and joined others in dance during the wedding ceremony.
While she stepped away to relieve herself, four persons allegedly abducted her and took her to a nearby forest, where they raped her in turns.
Two more men later joined and raped her as well, police said.
A case under the POCSO Act was registered at Talsara police station.
