Bhawanipatna: A group of five miscreants allegedly looted Rs 8 lakh from three cattle traders at Terenam Ghati in Kalahandi district Friday.
The incident took place when the traders were returning to Dharagarh from Kalyansinghpur area of Rayagada district.
According to reports, five armed motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted their car and fled with the cash.
The trio lodged a complaint with the local police station.
In another development, the traders’ association in Athamallik town of Angul district Thursday had observed a 12-hour bandh to protest against the looting of a local businessman at gunpoint by motorcycle-borne miscreants.
