Surat: Premadevi will never forget this Rakhi Purnima as her 19-year wait for her missing brother came to an end.
Premadevi’s brother Rabish went missing in 1999 when he was just 13 years old. His family members assumed that he was dead after failing to find him. His father Umesh Kumar was the administrator at Shivam International school.
The police too closed Rabish’s file While the whole family gave up hope on Rabish’s return, his sister Premadevi found it difficult to believe that her brother is no more.
In 2001, the family members got an information that Rabish was in Surat. They went to Surat for three times by 2012 but their visit yielded no result.
Meanwhile, his father Umesh passed away.
According to Rabish, after losing direction of his house, he spent some days without food. Then he went to Surat where he got employment at a factory after doing some odd jobs here and there. At the factory, he came in contact with Rohit, who is also from Patna.
Later Rohit contacted Rabish’s younger brother Ritesh and his nephew Rajkumar. When he returned home after the gap of 19 years, Premadevi tied a rakhi on her brother’s wrist.
