Kolkata: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has hit back at those who made inappropriate comments after he posted some pictures of his wife Hasin Jahan and his daughter on his FB page, December 23. Instantly, the pictures went viral and a number of his followers wrote back questioning his wife’s religion and said the pictures were ‘shameful’ and that his wife’s dress was ‘un-islamic’.
The fast bowler who is currently rehabilitating from a knee injury suffered in the Test series against England was taken aback at the viciousness of the trolls which lectured him on morality. However, he was quick to hit back Monday.
“Very good morning?? Har kisi ko jindagi mai mukam ni milta, kuch kismat wale hi hote hai jinhe ye nasib hota hai.!.jalteee rahooooo… (Not everyone get what they desire, only a lucky few get it, so burn jealously),” Shami wrote to his 40 thousand plus followers on Twitter.
“Ye dono (wife and daughter) meri zindage or life partner hai me acha trha janta hu kiya karna hai kiya nahi. hame apne andar dekhna chahiye hum kitna accha hai.?? (They are my wife and daughter and I know what I should do. We should all look inwards),” the fast bowler added.
It should be mentioned here that in the past tennis player Sania Mirza has also come under attack from a section of the fanatics. In 2005, a cleric issued a fatwa (edict) ordering her to wear dresses that covered her from head to foot and stop wearing indecent ‘short’ dresses while playing. Thankfully Sania did not do that, otherwise, she wouldn’t have had so many Grand Slam doubles titles.
