Keonjhar: Principal Secretary of Rural Development (RD) Department Mona Sharma came to Keonjhar on a field visit and held review of various projects Monday and Tuesday.
She inspected the ongoing construction of the government medical college and visited the district headquarters hospital.
She interacted with patients and inquired about healthcare services, free medicines, apart from visiting the Niramaya medicine distribution centre.
Sharma also inspected plantation at Balibandh, the ongoing construction of Mamata Ghat at Kanhupur, a mega drinking water project at Mirigisingha and 33/11 KV electric sub-station at Basudevpur.
Later, she visited Joda area and took stock of solid waste management project, sanitation system and implementation of community toilets.
Sharma Tuesday held a review meeting at Ghatagaon block of execution of rural housing at Pandapada, sal-leaf plate-making unit at Sanajiuli and later inspected rehabilitation of displaced families (Hadagada) at Jhanajhana.
During the visit, Sharma interacted with beneficiaries of various government welfare and schemes.
