Bhubaneswar: The mother of a Bhubaneswar-based vet-cum-businessman who was kidnapped in Jharkhand August 23 sought the intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to get her son back.
The woman said that she had requested the government to bring back her son by taking urgent action. She added that Jharkhand police had information about the abduction at around 10 pm August 23. The police had also confirmed about finding the car of her son and said it to be a case of kidnapping.
She went to meet the Chief Minister but in his absence she submitted her request to an official. “I was expecting to meet the Chief Minister but as he was not there, an official received my complaint. He has informed about it to Bhubaneswar DCP and asked me to meet him,” the woman told the media persons after coming out of Naveen Nivas.
According to sources, Dr Manas Ranjan Das, a veterinary doctor of Bhubaneswar, was abducted when he was on way to his hometown from Hajipur in Bihar’s Vaishali district, where he runs a poultry feed processing unit.
