Keonjhar: Police recovered the mutilated body of a youth from a field near Tentulikhunti market of Budhikapudi panchayat under Patna block in Keonjhar district Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Khirod Patra, son of Hari Patra of Putugaon village under Turumunga police limits. Khirod was working as a Gram Rakhi.
According to sources, Khirod went out of his house at around 10 am Thursday but didn’t return. His family members grew apprehensive and searched for him but failed to trace him.
Locals who spotted the mutilated body of Khirod lying on the field immediately informed police.
Police along with scientific experts reached the spot and started investigation.
Police suspect that the youth might have been killed over past enmity.
The body has been seized and sent for post-mortem.
