New Delhi: Mystery regarding the wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma is deepening by the minute with news flowing in from various sources. The crux of the matter however, is with the two celebrities and their near and dear ones clamping their mouths shut, none is being able to provide the real picture.
It has, however, been established that the wedding will take place in Italy and in all probability will be a small affair at a village in Tuscany. Both Anushka and Virat along with the families have already arrived at the destination if various sources are to be believed.
A newspaper in Mumbai has reported that a few days back Anushka had been seen in Bandra’s family court along with her lawyer, collecting registration papers. An application has been placed at the same court requesting four dates – December 12, 18, 21 and January 5, 2018 – for the official registration of the marriage. However, with both parties already abroad, the December 12 date for registration can easily be ruled out.
The departure of Virat’s coach Rajkumar Sharma for an unknown destination has also given rise to speculation. Sharma has taken leave from his camp for a ‘few days for personal reasons’ and has been seen flying out of the airport here Saturday night for an unknown destination. A couple of close buddies of Virat are also not visible, people, who used to hang out with the cricketer, whenever he was in Delhi.
Sources indicated here Sunday, that the wedding will be a very close-knit affair and very few have been invited to it. Among the actors’ clan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan’s mom, Salma Khan have been invited and have already left for the venue. Among the cricketers, Yuvraj Singh and Sachin Tendulkar have been invited with their wives and they are expected to attend the marriage.
It’s not that Kohli has not invited the members of the current team. Since they are busy with the series against Sri Lanka, a huge reception party has been planned at Mumbai during the period when the cricketers will have a few days off before their departure for South Africa.
However, one this is for certain. After the marriage of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore, this is another tying of the nuptial knot that has caught the attention of the entire nation. After all marriages are made in heaven and this one certainly has been made on the ‘pitch of love’.
