Brahmagiri: BJD president and Odisha chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today held in a massive roadshow at Brahmagiri in support of local Assembly and Lok Sabha candidates.
He started from Satapada at 11.45 and then proceeded to Puri via Brahmagiri aboard a modified bus. Thousands of locals and party workers were seen lined up along the way to catch a glimpse of Patnaik.
Brahmagiri Assembly aspirant Sanjay Das Burma and Puri Lok Sabha aspirant Pinaki Mishra were part of this program.
It may be mentioned here that Das Burma is facing BJP’s Lalitendu Mohapatra – brother and political heir of late Congress heavyweight Lalatendu Mohapatra from Brahmagiri. A seat prone to political violence, it witnessed a group clash before Naveen’s visit Friday that rendered about two dozen BJP men injured.
The saffron party blamed the ruling party’s Biju Juba Bahini members for the attack.
