Bhubaneswar: Sanyam Ahuja of Delhi emerged topper and Arushi Kular of Odisha secured the sixth rank in the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST 2018). The results were announced Monday.
Around 67,000 students from across the country, including 15,000 from Odisha, had appeared the test June 2. Among them 2,300 students were allotted ranks for 200 seats.
The results have been made available on www.nestexam.in.
The test was held at 109 centres across the country including 13 centres in Odisha –Angul, Balasore, Bargarh, Baripada, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Khurda, Rayagada, Rourkela and Sambalpur.
The test was held for admission to the five-year integrated MSc programmes at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.
Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) in 2007 to train scientific manpower to carry out research and provide input to scientific programmes of the DAE and other applied science institutions in the country.
