JLR Range Rover for Rs2.8 cr
New Delhi: Tata Motors owned Jaguar land Rover (JLR) Tuesday launched a limited edition variant of Range Rover with price starting at Rs2.8 crore (ex-showroom). The limited edition variant ‘Range Rover Autobiography by SVO Bespoke’ is based on long wheelbase variant of Range Rover. “The exquisite individualisation options gives our discerning customers the opportunity to be a part of a unique automotive experience which gives them the chance to design the look and feel of their vehicle,” JLR President and Managing Director Rohit Suri said in a statement. The Land Rover range in India includes the Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque, all new Discovery, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover.
Mahindra petrol XUV500
New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Tuesday launched petrol variant of its SUV XUV500 priced at Rs15.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new trim would only be available with a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from AISIN, Japan. The model is powered by its indigenously developed 2.2 litre mHawk petrol engine which generates 140 HP of power. “The introduction of the XUV500 G AT petrol variant will excite consumers who have been eagerly awaiting a petrol option,” M&M Chief of Sales & Marketing -Automotive Division Veejay Ram Nakra said in a statement. The SUV comes with various features like static bending headlights, cruise control, push button start, among others.
Yamaha updates YZF-R1
New Delhi: India Yamaha Motor Tuesday launched an updated version of its superbike YZF-R1 priced at Rs20.73 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company would import the model as a completely built unit (CBU), India Yamaha Motor (IYM) said in a statement. Powered by a 998-cc engine, the bike can develop a peak power of 200 HP. “The new YZF-R1 model will strengthen Yamaha in its superbike segment in the Indian market,” Yamaha Motor India Sales Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing Roy Kurian said. The bike inherits its technology from Yamaha’s racing machine YZR-M1, he added. “This model also highlights Yamaha’s improved aerodynamics which posts it closer to the MotoGP attributes, and which is a rare potential available in today’s market,” Kurian said.
Vishal Bhatia ‘New Supply’ CEO
New Delhi: Food ordering and delivery platform Swiggy Tuesday said it has appointed Vishal Bhatia as its CEO for ‘New Supply’ vertical. The ‘New Supply’ business line will be focused on Swiggy’s strategy of giving consumers a greater assortment by addressing existing supply gaps in the marketplace, the company said in a statement. Besides, the company said it has recently hired Rahul Bothra as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Bhatia comes with 19 years of experience and has worked in organisations like Reckitt Benckiser (RB) and Britannia. “As Swiggy prepares for the next phase in our growth, the new leaders will spearhead strategic initiatives that will create sustainable long-term value for our consumers and the marketplace,” Swiggy CEO Sriharsha Majety said.
