Angul: A newly married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her in-laws’ house at Balinali village near Chhendipada in Angul district Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nandini Nayak (20), wife of Hemant Nayak (25).
According to reports, Nandini, daughter of Narottam Nayak of Bedasar village near Angul married Hemant eight months ago. She allegedly took the extreme step over a family feud. Even though the family members rushed her to the district hospital, she died on the way.
On being informed police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Police are interrogating her in-laws as part of the investigation.
