Muribahal: Block Vice-Chairperson Sundarmati Bagh of Muribahal in Bolangir district has moved a ‘no-confidence’ motion against block Chairman Hansaraj Jain Friday.
Eighteen samiti members and sarpanchs are underground in support of the ‘no-confidence’ motion. In this regard, an emergency sitting of the supporters was conducted at Malisira panchayat September 16, This was presided over by Vice-Chairperson Bagh.
It was unanimously decided to move a motion opposing the arbitrary style of working of block Chairman Jain. A ‘no-confidence’ motion in this connection, containing signatures of fifteen Samiti Members and three Sarpanchs, was handed over to Titilagarh Sub-Collector Sudhakar Nayak.
However, acting upon the motion of ‘no-confidence’ and as per letter (No.-3644) of Sub-Collector Nayak, panchayat officer Nilakanth Kalsai will submit his report, after verification of the signatures.
