Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Wednesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service, saying he has transformed the country’s earlier apprehensive outlook into a confident “can-do” attitude.
From assuming office as Gujarat Chief Minister October 7, 2001, to serving as Prime Minister, Modi has completed 25 years of uninterrupted service as elected head of government.
Lauding the Prime Minister for the feat, Majhi said, “From ‘can India?’ to ‘India Can’. For 25 years, Narendra Modi has turned ‘Seva’ (service) into Sankalp (resolve), Sankalp into action, and action into transformation. He did not just lead India through challenges. He changed India’s confidence in itself.”
Odisha Chief Minister noted that a nation, which once asked, “can we?”, now stands tall under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and says, “we can, we will, we must”.
“From limitations to possibilities, from following the world to shaping the future. Twenty-five years of service and 25 years of transforming the belief that India can,” Majhi said.
“With the guiding mantra of ‘nation first’ and the resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, the epoch-making people’s leader, Narendra Modi, is providing the nation with new momentum toward the formation of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047,” he said.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister participated in a ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha’ and ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ programme in Khordha.
