Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Sunday issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of April 10: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over several districts of the state.
The weather agency issued a Yellow Warning (be updated) for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur in a few places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and at one or two places over the remaining districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of April 10 to 8.30 AM of April 11: IMD has issued a Yellow Warning (be updated) for several districts of Odisha.
As per the Yellow Warning, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri districts. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.
The weather agency forecasted no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) over the next 2-3 days and a rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius thereafter is predicted at a few places over the districts of Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 38 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius was recorded at Baripada while the lowest minimum temperature of 19.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Phulbani and Nabarangpur districts of the state, the bulletin informed.
