Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, maximum day temperature in Odisha is very likely to rise by 3 to 5 degree Celsius over the next four to five days, regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Saturday said.
The weather agency has issued a Yellow Warning for several districts of the state.
Upto 8.30 AM of May 7: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Gajapati and Kandhamal districts, the IMD bulletin stated.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at a few places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh districts and at one or two places over the rest districts of coastal Odisha.
Besides, dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of May 7 to 8.30 AM of May 8: The weather agency predicted that light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore districts and dry weather very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 34 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 38.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Sambalpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 21.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Bhadrak and Khurda, the bulletin informed.
