Bhubaneswar: Teaching in offline mode for students from Class I to Class VII in Odisha will be started soon, Odisha School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said Sunday.
“Though no decision has been taken so far, it is likely that the offline mode of teaching in this academic year would resume for students from Class I to Class VII after Diwali. However, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is yet to take a final call in this regard,” minister Dash said while briefing mediapersons here.

“Possibility of a third wave of the Covid-19 is negligible. Hence, the S&ME Department has been exploring all probabilities for resuming the physical classes of these students in the state. We will ensure that classes are reopened in a graded manner. Physical mode of teaching for the Class VIII to Class XII students are presently continuing,” he added.
The government allowed resumption of classes in physical mode for Class XI and Class VIII students from October 21 and October 25, 2021 respectively. The offline teaching for Class X and Class XII students reopened from July 26 this year.
