Bhubaneswar, June 23: The process for counseling for the Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) began Thursday, with students registering themselves for counseling on the OJEE website.
Students will have to finalise their choices while registering for counseling online, according to the new format that has been introduced this year, sources said. Earlier, students had to visit nodal centers for this.
Under the new format, students will have to go to the nodal centers for verification of documents after choice locking. Sources said 25 nodal centers have been opened for students across major towns across the state.
“Students are required to visit ojee.nic.in and participate in the registration process. Counseling for different courses will take place on different dates. There will be eight stages in the counseling process,” said OJEE chairman Tusharkant Nath.
“This year, we have made certain changes. Students can lock their choice online unlike in previous years. This information will be stored safely in our server. The students are advised to enter their mobile number correctly as they will receive a one-time password (OTP) on their cell phone,” Nath said.
The OJEE chairman said 1,496 students registered for diploma lateral entry courses, 37 for pharmacy lateral entry, 39 for MCA lateral entry and 41 for MCA regular course. Results of OJEE held May 8 for admissions into 12 courses except medical and engineering in government and private colleges were declared May 30.
