Chhatrapur: Though rate of COVID infection is slowing down in Ganjam, the virus has taken lives of 200 people in the district.
Meanwhile, the administration has started a campaign to check oxygen level in each person in the district from Tuesday. Various teams are visiting houses and checking the levels of oxygen in the family members.
This drive will help the administration detect people having symptoms of COVID.
There is provision of ambulance to carry patients to hospitals.
Chhatrapur sub-collector Priyaranjan Prusty, BDO Ambika Prasad Das, tehsildar Nilamadhab Bhoi were present at such a campaign at the block Tuesday.
On the other hand, the district had high mortality rate compared to others. It is observed that people having diabetes, high blood pressure are falling victim to the virus.
Till date over, 18, 542 people were affected with COVID.
