Bhubaneswar: As many as four three personalities from Odisha will be conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award this year.
Kamala Pujari (Agriculture), Devarapalli Prakash Rao (Social Work-Affordable Education) and Daitari Naik (Social Work) will be bestowed with the award.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s sister Gita Mehta will also be awarded with the Padma Shri.
The awards are announced on the occasion of Republic Day every year and conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/April every year.
