Mumbai: Deepika Padukone debuted in the Hindi film industry opposite Shah Rukh Khan via Om Shanti Om. Her performance garnered applause at the international level too. This has widened her fan base and she has crossed 40 million followers on Instagram.
Deepika is active in social media and often surprise her fans with stunning pictures.
On this occasion Padmaavat actress expressed her gratitude and posted a video on her account where she made 40 personalised notes for forty persons. She captioned the post, “40 personalised notes for 40 of you. Thank you for all your love!❤️ #40Million!”

On the professional front, Deepika has wrapped up shooting of Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak, portraying the role of a real-life acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. The film is Deepika’s maiden project as a producer and the film will release in January 2020. She will also be teaming up opposite Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan’s next directorial venture, 83.
Much later, in 2021, Deepika will be seen as Draupadi in Madhu Mantena’s film Mahabharat. The film is a multi-part franchise with the first part being released on Diwali 2021.
Deepika has also tried her hand in Hollywood and her first project in Hollywood came with the action film XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017).
