Puri: A Puri-Talcher passenger train derailed while entering platform No. 3 at Puri railway station Friday, triggering panic among passengers, though no injuries were reported.
The incident took place as the train was entering the station with passengers on board. One of the train’s wheels reportedly went off the track near the station area, leading to the derailment.
Passengers were left frightened following the incident, but a major accident was averted as no one was injured.
Railway officials reached the spot and inspected the site. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the derailment.
