Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Friday announced the programme schedule of annual Plus II examination 2017 for Arts, Commerce, Science, Vocational and distance education courses.
A CHSE notification said all theory papers would be held between March 6 and March 28 and the practical tests between January 18 and January 25.
The three-hour examinations will commence at 10 am.
English language papers of Science and Commerce streams will be held March 6 and the language paper of Arts students the next day.
Modern Indian Language (MIL) Oriya for Science and Commerce students will be held March 8. Students of Arts, Science and Commerce streams, who have opted for MIL subjects like Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Urdu, Sanskrit and alternative English would have to take the test March 9, 2017.
Arts, Science and Commerce students will have exams in IT paper March 10. Science students, who have chosen Computer Science, Biotech and Electronics subjects instead of IT, will have to sit the examination in the concerned paper the same day, the notification added.
MIL (Oriya) examination for Arts students is scheduled to be held March 11 whereas Mathematics test of both Arts and Science students will be conducted March 14. Examination in all optional language papers (Oriya, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Urdu and Sanskrit) and elective Sanskrit paper of Science students will be held March 15.
The Science and Arts students will have Chemistry and History subjects March 16 and 17 respectively.
The examination in Physics and Home Science papers will be held March 18.
As per schedule, Political Science and Geology examination will be held March 20. Science students will take Botany test while Commerce and vocational students will sit Business Studies and Management papers
March 21.
Similarly, the examination in Education, Indian Music and Psychology will be held March 22 and Zoology and BMS (Business Mathematics and Statistics) the next day.
Economics and IR&PM paper examinations are scheduled for March 24 whereas Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics and Accountancy will be held March 25.
Arts students will sit Logic and Geography papers March 27. Commerce and Vocational students will also take Insurance, Fundamentals of Management Accounts, Business Economics, Rural Development, Cost Accounting and Computer Application examination on the same day.
The students will take Tourism and Travel Management, Fashion Technology, Paramedical and Health-care, Office Management, Banking, Printing Technology, Information Technology, Automobile Technology, Dairying, Horticulture, Electrical Domestic Appliances and
Mobile Technology examinations on the last day.
