Jagatsinghpur: As many as 60 Plus III students from Alka College at Anantabata under Biridi block in Jagatsinghpur district failed in their Odia examination for the third semester.
The students who scored zero in the examination Monday submitted a written complaint to the Principal Banamali Behera.
They also threatened to sit on a dharna in front of the principal’s office.
According to reports, the students secured more than 60 per cent marks in the examinations conducted earlier. However, in the 2017 academic session, the question paper was out of syllabus.
After the exam, the students had apprised the then Principal Swarnaprava Nanda following which she sent a report to the authorities.
The higher authorities had assured the former principal that all the students who appeared for the exams would get clearance. However, when the results were announced the students found that they have failed in the exams.
