Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the people of Odisha on the occasion of Raja
He tweeted his wishes in Odia.
“On the special festival of Raja Parba, my greetings to the people of Odisha. May this festival enhance the spirit of joy in our society,” Modi tweeted.
Raja, a three-day festival, commenced Thursday and is being celebrated with fervour by young girls in the state.
The agrarian festival marks the advent of monsoon and celebrates womanhood. It symbolizes the menstrual cycle of Mother Earth and falls on the first day of Asadha month.
