Bhubaneswar: Prabhat Bakshi and Juganand Patnaik clinched the senior men’s 60-plus doubles crown beating Arun Birla and Brahma Mishra 7-1 in the final of Utkal Open tennis tournament at the Kalinga Stadium tennis complex here, Sunday. Earlier in the day, the Prabhat-Juganand combo defeated Manmohan Mishra and BN Mishra 6-2 in the semifinal while the duo of Arun-Brahma overcame GC Behera and Gyanaranjan Das 6-1 in the other semifinal.
Officials elected
Samir Dey and Ashok Sahoo have been elected as the president and general secretary respectively of the Orissa Gymnastics Association (OGA) during the AGM conducted Sunday according to a press release, issued by the body. Other office-bearers elected were Debraj Das (joint secretary), Saroj Kumar Singh (vice-president) and Tushar Kanti Ghosh (treasurer).
