Bhubaneswar: Professor Sanjiv Mittal was appointed Wednesday as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Sambalpur University by the Odisha government, Wednesday.
In exercise of powers conferred by Sub Section(1) with Sub Section(7) of Section 6 of Odisha Universities (Amendment) Act 2020, Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed Professor Mittal as the VC of Sambalpur University for a period of four years with effect from the date he takes over.
Dr Mittal is presently working as the Professor of University School of Management Studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, since 2007.
Professor Mittal has 29 years of teaching experience including 13 years as Professor in management studies. He has authored eight books in his career. Also many of his articles have been published in national and international magazines and journals. He has conducted many workshops on entrepreneurship development and business skills training. It should also be stated here that 11 research scholars successfully got their Ph.D under his guidance.
