Bhubaneswar: Three months after a girl was sexually assaulted by 10 persons on Gopalpur beach, a 19-year-old college girl was allegedly gangraped near Baliharchandi temple under Brahmagiri police station in Puri, police said Monday.
Three persons have been arrested in this connection. The incident took place around noon Saturday when the woman and her male companion had gone to a place near the temple to spend some time.
A group of local youths clicked their pictures and asked for money from them. “When they refused, two persons raped the female student,” Puri SP Prateek Singh said.

Other members of the group had tied the hands of the male companion of the survivor before the gangrape, police said.
