Bhubaneswar: Rahul Nayak (66, 45b; 4/44) produced an all-round show to help Oscar Sporting Club (OSC) advance into the quarterfinals of the IInd Rameswar Cup U-19 cricket tournament defeating Kishore Club by 20 runs here, Monday.
Opting to bat first, OSC posted 215 runs for the loss eight wickets in the 30 overs with Bikram Jagdev Ray (59, 41b), Rahul and Pamir Bharimal (51, 33b) scoring impressive half centuries. Jagyasen Pattanaik (3/31) and Dina Das (2/51) bowled well for Kishore Club.
In reply, Kishore Club started well but kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 195 in 29.4 overs. Satyaban Sasmal (85, 69b) tried his best to lift the team up but didn’t get enough support from his teammates.
Priyabrat Nayak (38, 32b) did offer some resistance down the order but by then the match had slipped of their hands. Besides man of the match Rahul, Pamir Bharimal (2/32) took wickets.
