Bhubaneswar/Rairangpur: Odisha got its newest police district as Rairangpur was carved out of the Mayurbhanj Police District, an official notification said Wednesday.
The official notification to this effect was issued by the Home Department. The headquarters of the newly formed Rairangpur Police District has been established at Rairangpur.
Notably, the Odisha government had approved the proposal to create the Rairangpur Police District in July 2025, taking the total number of police districts in the state to 35.
