Balasore: Police Tuesday arrested actress Pralipta Priyadarshini alias Jessi in connection with alleged suicide of actor Raja Patnaik. She was produced in a court at Soro. However, the actress was sent in judicial custody as her bail plea was rejected.
Balasore SP Nitisekhar told media Jessi was arrested under section 306 for abetting suicide. Two other suspects – driver Dhaneswar and event manager Pralaya—have not been arrested as no solid evidence has been available against them, the SP added. Further investigation is on and polygraph test of the three accused will be done, if necessary, Nitisekhar said.
Raja had jumped off Chaparapada bridge at 2 am February 6 while the actor along with Jessi and Pralaya was returning home. PNN
