Cuttack, May 24: Rising Student, Cuttack earned a narrow three wickets victory over Pragati Sporting Club, Bhubaneswar in a match of the Laxinarayan Cup cricket tournament at the Rajkishore Vidyapitha Ground here Sunday.
Tukuna Sahoo (67, 38b, 11×4, 2×6) batted well to help Pragati notch up 141 for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 16 overs. He was well-supported by Santanu Mishra (30, 24b, 4×4, 1×6).
Rising Students in spite of losing wickets at regular intervals, reached the target with one over to spare riding on Debapriya Patnaik’s (40, 24b, 1×4, 4×6) knock.
