Rourkela: Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak, who was recently in news for tying bandages on a patient at Rourkela Government hospital, is back in news for another good reason.
The MLA was seen in a viral video laying layers of tar on a road full of potholes to bring it up to the mark ahead of Dasahara here in Sundargarh district.
It may be mentioned here that Sewerage Board work was going on for last couple days on the stretch in front of Hanuman Vatika making it tough to navigate. Motorcyclists and four wheelers drivers were experiencing a nightmarish experience while negotiating the stretch. Pedestrians had virtually deserted this stretch of the road.
Local residents were expectedly fed up with the lip-services they were being provided with by the officials concerned.
Taking all by surprise, MLA Nayak reached Hanuman Vatika along with some labourers. The next moment, the minister started laying tar layers on the road while other labourers helped him repair the road with tarmac. A video of the act is doing rounds on social media.
