Pottangi: A twentyfour-year-old youth was seriously injured after he fell off a waterfall cliff while posing for a perfect selfie shot. The incident took place at the Ratibali Waterfall in Galigobdar area under this block in Koraput district Thursday. The youth was Subrat Nag from a neighbouring state.
Subrat along with his friends had been there to enjoy the holidays. He took a risk at the slippery stream path of the waterfall, lost grip and fell down 500metres down the cliff. He was critically injured and rushed to the Pottangi community health centre (CHC). “His friends rescued him, else he would have died on the spot,” the locals said.
After preliminary treatment, he was shifted to the Koraput district hospital. His condition was stated critical.
