Rourkela: Police claimed to have busted a sex racket operating at a lodge in Kirei area under Sadar police limits in Sundergharh district Friday and detained four couples.
The couples were found in a compromising position inside the lodge.
On the basis of past allegations of sex rackets operating at the lodge, a police team led by SP Saumya Mishra raided the lodge today and found four couples in four separate rooms.
While two couples were later released by police after seizure of their mobile phones, two others have been detained for questioning.
A case has been registered in this connection and the accused persons will soon be forwarded to court. A detailed probe into the matter is underway, the police said.
Reports said the youths are locals while the girls hail from Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sonepur. Investigation into the matter is underway.
