Kendrapara: Town police Monday busted a sex racket and arrested three persons including a woman at Khadianga village here.
The police rescued two sex workers and seized some objectionable materials from the spot, Kendrapara SDPO Rajib Lochan Panda said.
The arrested were identified as Sarojkanta Mallick, 25, Prakash Mallick, 20, of Kusiapala village under Sadar police station and a widow Manikabati Singh, 48, who has been running the racket from her house at Khadianga. The sex workers belonged to Erasama and Aska.
Khitish Kumar Singh, a local of Khadianga, lodged an FIR in this regard at Town police station. Acting on the FIR, police registered a case against the three accused.
The rescued sex workers were sent to a rehabilitation home while the accused were produced in a court.
