Bhubaneswar, April 9: A sex racket was busted Thursday in Samantarapur which was being run in the garb of a massage parlour.
Five persons including a woman were arrested by Lingaraj police during a raid while two victims were rescued.
Police said Pratikhya Pradhan (28), a resident of Khurda, was the kingpin of the sex business and procured girls on the pretext of giving them jobs at her parlour while eventually pushing them into the flesh trade. The four men who were arrested were identified as Abhishek Jena (25), a native of Puri, Rasanandan Mohanty (28), of Dhenkanal, Dilip Sahu (27), of Jajpur, and Chhabi Behera (26), of Puri. They were booked under Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, 1956.
The two victims who were rescued hail from Phulbani and Nayagarh. Police said they got a tip-off about the sex racket from locals and conducted a raid.
