New Delhi: Transport fuel rates were hiked for the fifth time in January and steepest Sunday, amid global crude oil rates continuing to climb handsomely following the implementation of output cuts by oil producers from January 1. Oil marketing firms increased petrol rates by 49-60 paise per litre Sunday, while diesel prices were raised by 59-75 paise across the major metros. As per data from Indian Oil Corp, petrol price in Bhubaneswar was increased to Rs 68.76 per litre Sunday, while in Cuttack the fuel cost Rs 68.99 per litre. The price of diesel went up Sunday in the Capital to Rs 68.27 per litre.
