Rourkela: Two siblings, including a minor girl, died after the bike they were riding collided with a truck on a bridge near Balishankara block office in Sundargarh district Sunday.
The deceased were Manas Bachcha and his minor sister Anjali Bachcha of Telijor village in the district. Irked over the mishap, a mob staged a road blockade near the spot, seeking compensation for the deceased’s family and widening of the bridge to prevent frequent accidents there.
According to an eyewitness, the goods-laden truck heading for Chhattisgarh was coming at high speed. On Friday night, three persons were killed after a truck rammed a juice shop near Kutra bus stand in the district. The deceased Brijesh Souria, Jilendar Sonakar and Udar Sunakar were residents of Uttar Pradesh. The three were sleeping on the footpath near the shop.
