Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), a deemed-to-be university, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kolkata-based Krishibandhu Crop Science Private Limited (KBC) to collaborate on research, development and extension activities in industrial biotechnology, with a focus on promoting sustainable agriculture, official sources said Wednesday.
The partnership aims to strengthen collaboration between KBC and SOA’s Centre for Industrial Biotechnology Research (CIBR), which develops bio-agricultural products, including biofertilisers.
Under the agreement, KBC will serve as the marketing and research partner, undertaking product promotion, farmer awareness programmes, field demonstrations, distribution and market expansion in mutually agreed areas.
The two organisations will also jointly conduct field evaluations to generate scientific and commercial evidence on product performance and promote its wider adoption among farmers.
