Bhubaneswar: A song depicting struggle and trauma faced by families of the soldiers who fought for the safety and security of the country was released on the Republic Day by the singer Krishna Beura. The video starring Hindi movie and television actor Ssharad Malhotra and Oriya actor Lipsa Mishra, has had more than 13,000 views so far.
Speaking about the song Krishna said that in the past there have been many songs on bravery of the soldiers but he wanted to touch upon the issue of daily struggle of family when a son, a husband or a father is away at the front.
The song is dedicated to sacrifices of the armed forces and their families. It is a story of a newly married wife of an army officer, who has to leave for the front soon after their marriage.
My father Indramani Beura was also in the Air force and we also used to wait with heavy hearts for his return from the battle ground. It is a tribute from us to those families.
Talking about the TV actor Ssharad in the album instead of an Oriya face Krishna said that he had talked with many people from Oriya industry but nobody agreed for the venture so he decided to take somebody from the Mumabi and Ssharad was the perfect choice. Ssharad , a tele actor, is known for portraying the character of Maharana Pratap in the serial Bharat Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap
Krishna the versatile singer of songs such as Maula Mere Le Le Meri Jaan from Chak De, Soniyo from Raaz 2, Teri Yaad saath Hai from Namaste London, Chaska Chaska from Badmash Company etc is planning to start a Youtube channel JUKBOX where he will give provide a platfor to emerging Oriya singers. The show will be host by Big Boss fame Sabyasachi Satpathy. He will also compose a special song for his Godfather Sanjay Dutt. (PNN)
