BHUBANESWAR: Oriya movie industry’s known stars congre- gated at Ramadevi Women’s University Monday to celebrate the third annual day of the drama society on the premises here. Actor Sabyasachi Mishra, Buddhaditya Mohanty, actor Barsha Priyadarshini and singer Dipti Rekha Padhi graced the occasion.
Vice-chancellor Padmaja Mishra advised her students to set specific goals in life. Barsha shared her experiences with the students and advised them to quickly com- prehend the wrong meted out to them in their life and must be bold enough in difficult times be- cause sometimes failure will try to break you down but you have to move forward.
Sabyasachi Mishra said there is intrinsically no difference between a girl and a boy. A girl can achieve anything. He called upon the stu- dents to be responsible citizens of the country. Buddhaditya said his mother used to teach at the uni- versity and it was his privilege to be a guest in the same varsity. He said it hurt him when people lamented for failure to achieve something without making effort. Playback singer Dipti, a former student of the university, sung a few popular numbers for the students.
The guests also gave away awards to winners of various com- petition organised by the univer- sity. The students also performed cultural programmes for the guests and students.
