Start-up eyes 3000 digital health clinics by 2019 end

Bhubaneswar: City-based digital healthcare start-up, MedTel, is aiming to open around 3,000 digital health clinics in the state by the end of 2019.

The clinics will cater to healthcare needs of over 1 lakh patients daily, said Lalit Ranjan Manik, Co-Founder and President of MedTel, at a press conference here Wednesday.

“At present, we have around 1,800 centres in the state and by the end of 2019 we will open 3,000 of them. These centres will be helpful not only for the rural population but also cater to the semi-urban people,” Manik added.

It may be mentioned here that MedTel healthcare received the best start-up of Odisha award as ‘Pride of Odisha’ in the recently held Make in Odisha Conclave 2018.

Speaking on MedTel mobile application, its CEO Shashank Singhal said, “The mobile-based platform brings pharmacy, path labs, doctors and patients under one umbrella. It has aggregated 850 pharmacies and path-labs as digital health clinics and over 50 digital health clinics in a franchise model.”
