Bhubaneswar, June 21: A Cuttack court Tuesday allowed Orissa police to take Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) operative Mohammed Abdur Rehman on a 10-day remand.
The Special Task Force of Crime Branch took Rehaman (37) into custody for interrogation after he was produced amid tight security at the judicial magistrate first track court at Salepur in Cuttack.
Rehman, who was lodged at Tihar Jail in Delhi, was brought to Cuttack on remand.
He was arrested from Tangi in Cuttack December 16 last year in a joint operation by Orissa police and Delhi police while he was running a madrassa at Tangi.
