Jajpur: The state government aims to create six lakh new jobs in the next five years. This was stated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while inaugurating the second Kalinganagar Mahotsav at Kharadi in Kalinganagar of this district Saturday.
The CM said that Jajpur, a leading district in the state, has a good name in the field of agriculture, literature. According to Naveen, Kalinganagar has a good name as a major industrial hub in the country which is a dream come true for the late Chief Minister Biju Patnaik.
He said the state government is always committed on the development of the skill and employment of the youths for which his government aims to create six lakh new jobs in the next five years.
He further said that agriculture is the main livelihood in the state while the government is committed towards the development of the farmers. The state government has launched the Kalia Yojana for farmers Friday and it aims at helping all the small and marginal farmers, share croppers, landless and agri-labourers in the state. The new scheme carries life insurance benefits along with interest free loan facilities up to Rs 50,000, which his government expects will benefit all farmers.
The Kalinganagar Mahotsav will create special opportunities for the growth of tribals, art and culture, the Chief Minister said. Earlier, before the meeting the Chief Minister unveiled a park at Jakhpura where the late Chief Minister had planted a Kadamb tree.
