Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar-North MLA Priyadarshi Mishra and Social Welfare Director Latika Pradhan opened a 10-day expo on health and beauty, the first-of-its-kind in Odisha at Janta Maidan here Friday.
In his address, Mishra appreciated the Gupta Event Management and Charitable Trust for its efforts to bring health and beauty, as well as interior decor under one roof.
The expo has around 200 participants from all over the country. Eight other countries are taking part in the event that has showcased high-end kitchen fittings, chandeliers and various other items to embellish homes.
Interacting with Orissa POST, organiser Sujeet Gupta said, “It’s a new concept and we are confident that this will earn rave reviews and witness a good business too.”
He added that the main attractions of the expo are the Korean spa, flowers and dresses, jewellery from Thailand and dresses from Pakistan among others.
The expo will have two special events – a ramp walk by acid attack victims May 24 and another such event for mothers with their children May 26.
The event has already started witnessing a heavy footfall from the opening day itself. Kurlon MD T. Sudhakar Pai was also present.
