Khaira: A Class VII student was bitten by a snake Tuesday when the student had assembled at the school premises usual prayer under this block in Balasore district.
Sources said students of Jhinkiria Upper Primary School had assembled for the regular prayer in the morning. During the prayer, a snake bit Seikh Sahil on his thigh.
Seikh was rushed to Bhadrak district headquarters hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
His condition is stated to be critical.
The snake was captured and later handed over to Bhadrak snake help line.
