Bhubaneswar: The body of a 19-year-old student was found hanging in his room at Maa Mangala Basti under the Capital police limits here Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Daniel Diggal of Dunguriguda village under Bosapada police limits in Kandhamal. Diggal was pursuing his graduation in a city college.
According to sources, Diggal hanged himself with a rope from the ceiling fan in his room while his family members were away. His father spotted the body upon his return Thursday afternoon. He rushed Diggal to the Capital Hospital for treatment where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
The victim’s family is yet to register a complaint in connection with Diggal’s death. Sources claimed that the victim was in a relationship for the past several years and failure in love might have led him to take the extreme step.
