Students felicitated for board exam performance

Bhubaneswar, June 8: As many as 98 students of Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School who excelled in the Class X and Class XII examinations, the results of which were announced recently, were felicitated at a ceremony held on their school premises here in city, Monday.
A total of 74 students of Class X bagged the highest possible Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10, while 24 students got more than 90 per cent in the Plus ii examinations.
The students were felicitated with mementos and citations by Amlya Bhusan Tripathy, a former director general of police, Orissa. Tripathy congratulated all the students and wished them success in their future ventures.
The principal of the school, Sandhya Jena, praised the students for their hard work and also lauded the teacher for helping the students do well.
“The result of the students of the school has always taken an upward trend because of the sincere and dedicated service rendered by the staff members, the hard work and endeavor of the students and the support of the school management. Our school is geared to cross many more milestones as the current session gets rolling,” said Jena.
The students also thanked their teachers and parents and attributed the success to their guidance. “I don’t think that I would have scored well in the examination without the help of my teachers and parents. Their advice inspired us to toil hard. I will always remain grateful to my teachers and my parents,” said Shruti Lagna of Class X.
Anila Das, who scored 97 per cent in the Plus II examination, also thanked the teachers and staff of the school.
